Keep your pup looking dapper with these at-home grooming tips
What you need: Scented dog shampoo, baby shampoo, brush, metal comb.
Step 1. Brush out matted hair and tangles with a brush and metal comb.
Step 2. Place Fido in the tub. Hose him down.
Step 3. Work diluted shampoo into his coat. Use baby shampoo to clean around his eyes, ears and mouth. Rinse until water runs clean. Condition if desired.
2. For a Mad Men-worthy trim
What you need: Small electric trimmer, aloe vera gel.
Step 1. To cut the hair that grows into the eyes from the top of the muzzle, hold the muzzle with one hand and, using light pressure, swipe the trimmer away from the eyes and towards the nose.
Step 2. Shave the excess hair between the pads of the feet and around the bum and groin area.
Step 3. Soothe any razor burn with aloe vera gel.
3. For squeaky-clean ears
What you need: Cotton swabs, ear-cleaning powder and ear-cleaning solution.
Step 1. If you breed has hair in its ears, sprinkle a little powder on the hair and gently pluck out a little at a time.
Step 2. Douse a cotton swab with solution and wipe the insides of the ears until clean.
